EXPERIENCE

Max Scales has more than 40 years of business experience in senior executive roles within distribution, engineering, manufacturing and management consulting, including working for private and public companies.

In February 2003, after a long career in industry Max established his own business consulting practice in Melbourne which specialises in business advisory services and non-executive board duties.

Max began his business career in personnel and industrial relations before moving into broader marketing and sales and progressively became Managing Director of businesses in the electrical, engineering and safety industries.

Max was a Chairman with The Executive Connection for over 10 years – a leading organisation that provides coaching and mentoring support to CEO's which gave him considerable exposure to both private and family sized businesses across a wide range of industries.

Max has formed a considerable network of executives that use him both for advice and as a facilitator of complex transactions. These transactions range from marketing and succession plans to business acquisition and sale, negotiated/mediated mergers and the sourcing of funding for major expansion. Max is renowned for holding people accountable and focusing on outcomes.

Max has extensive knowledge and experience in dealing overseas and is now an advisor to several companies importing their products.
